Paper Hearings

Matters not requiring in-person oral hearings are listed below. Those wishing to participate in these proceedings should respond by the dates indicated in the notices.

• Notice of Paper Hearing - Facility Association (M12446, M12447 and M12448)

  This is a paper hearing on Facility Association's applications to change its existing rates and risk-classification system for private passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, and taxis.

• Notice of Application - Town of Amherst (M12383)

  The Town of Amherst has requested a change to its shared boundary with the Municipality of the County of Cumberland. The change would allow a lot spanning 47 hectares that is owned by Shaw Rural Housing Ltd. to be fully included within the Town of Amherst, so it can be developed with town services.

• Notice of Paper Hearing - Halifax Regional Water Commission (M12205)

  This is a paper hearing on Halifax Water's application to spend a total of $69,275,000 on infrastructure improvements as part of the Windsor Street Exchange Redevelopment Project.

  The amount includes $4,505,000 in previously approved funding for design work, plus $64,769,000 in estimated construction costs.

• Notice of Paper Hearing - Halifax Regional Water Commission (M12153)

  This is a paper hearing on Halifax Water's application for approval of Phase 2, Part 2 of the Sullivan’s Pond Storm Sewer Replacement, for a total project cost of $19,249,000.

• Notice of Paper Hearing - Halifax Regional Water Commission (M11672)

  This is a paper hearing on Halifax Water's application for approval of the replacement of Mt. Edward Reservoir #1, for a total project cost of $23,744,000.

March 2026

• April 20 - Jonathan MacKenzie (M12631)

  This public hearing concerns Jonathan MacKenzie’s appeal of the Municipality of the County of Antigonish council’s decision to amend Land Use By-Laws in order to update setback requirements for utility‑scale wind turbines to align with provincial regulations.
